What area do you service?

We provide services strictly within Ames, Iowa. If you're looking for work done outside of Ames, we may have recommendations for other companies you could work with!

During what hours of the day will you come to my property?

Our typical hours of operation are 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday. However, in busy seasons we may visit your property between 7am and sundown, Monday-Sunday.

Will you still cut the grass if it hasn't grown much? Will I be charged for it?

If your grass is not actively growing and does not have sufficient length, we will not service your property and you will not be charged for our visit. If your grass is actively growing and healthy we aim to cut it when 1/4 of the grass's total height would be severed or more. Ideally, we will remove 1/3 of the grass's length when we visit; removing more than 2/3 of the length can be bad for your health of your lawn. This is one of the primary factors we use to decide whether or not to cut on a given visit.

There is generally a 5-7 week period each season between July and September where grass slows down significantly and will only need serviced 1-3 times. April, May, June and October are usually when grass grows the most and you can expect 4-5 cuts per month.

Do you use contracts? How long am I signed up for?

No contracts are required in order to purchase our services!

What is your system for invoicing?

Kingdom Keepers will invoice you within the first 5 days of the month. Our invoices will be marked as "Due on Receipt". There will be a simple "Pay Now" button that will allow you to close your invoice as a guest or create a client portal for additional management features. If you do not close your invoice, reminder emails will be sent over the course of the month. If you have two open invoices at any time we will pause service until at least one of them is closed. You can respond directly to these reminder emails if you have any issues accessing your invoice.
